Please read these terms carefully before using Detective Simulator

Last Updated: April 2026

1. Introduction

Detective Simulator ("we", "our", or "us") provides an AI-driven procedural detective investigation simulator, available in a Pro version for law enforcement training and a Standard version for consumer gaming. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

Detective Simulator is operated by App Factory, a trading name of App Factory Dev Ltd, registered in England and Wales (Company No. 16567409).

2. Use of Service

You must be at least 18 years old to use Detective Simulator. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Pro access is governed by separate licensing agreements with your employing force or academy.

3. Simulated Content

Detective Simulator presents fictional, procedurally generated investigation scenarios for the purposes of training and entertainment. Cases, suspects, witnesses, and evidence are generated by AI and are not intended to depict real people, events, or crimes. Any resemblance to actual persons or events is coincidental.

The service is not a substitute for professional legal advice, real investigative procedure, or operational decision-making. Training outcomes do not constitute formal accreditation on their own and should be combined with your force's established training framework.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of any custom scenarios, notes, or content you submit to Detective Simulator. By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you and, for shared multiplayer or community content, to the users with whom you have chosen to share it.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

6. Data Protection

We process your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation including the UK GDPR.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect service availability. Multiplayer session state is retained on a best-effort basis.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Detective Simulator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any operational decisions or training conclusions drawn from simulated scenarios.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy and any separate contractual arrangements with your employing force.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the service.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
